If you do not qualify for the above mentioned program and are in the same situation of needing to pass a smog check to register your vehicle, please follow these steps:
  1. have your vehicle smog tested to obtain either a Failed or Rejected Emissions Inspection. Along with the Failed / Rejected Inspection you will receive a list of all the 2G certified mechanics in the valley.

  2. When you invest the minimum of $450 into the repairs as to why the vehicle failed the emissions you can then take your vehicle along with the mechanics receipt to the state emissions lab located behind the Sahara DMV at 2621 E Sahara Ave. You do not need an appointment for this.

  3. If the emissions lab is satisfied with the receipt and their inspection they will grant you an waiver to the smog check for the year. We can then assist you in registering your vehicle.
