For All Nevada Veterans please make sure to check with the Clark County Assessors Office for any available credits. Unfortunately our office is not allowed to process any driver license, identification or testing. Such transaction must be done at a local DMV.

Transferring Registration into Nevada

In order to transfer your out of state registration to Nevada you will need the following:

  1. Purchase or transfer your auto insurance policy to Nevada.

  2. If your vehicle is 3 years or older you will also need a Nevada Smog Check.

  3. You will need to have the vehicle VIN Inspection done by a DMV Inspector if the vehicle has not been title or registered in Nevada. (This step quick at the inspection site at the Nevada DMV locations).

  4. You will need to bring your out state registration & license plates.

  5. Most recent LES.

  6. Non-Resident, Active Duty Military Governmental Services Tax Exemption Affidavit VP203. Which need to be sign by Company Commander or Authorized Officer. (Please make sure to write the state abbreviation for your income tax listed on the LES).

  7. If the vehicle owner is unable to come to the office, the Application for Vehicle Registration VP222 form will need to be signed.

Vehicles Purchased in Nevada

Private Party Sales

When purchasing a vehicle from a private party the following is needed to title & register your vehicle:

  1. Vehicle title must be properly signed (make sure to verify the seller ID to match the name to the vehicle's title, if you are unsure, stop by our office and we will verify for you).

  2. Purchase Nevada Insurance for the vehicle in the name of the person who will register the vehicle.

  3. If your vehicle is 3 years or older you will also need a Nevada Smog Check.

  4. You will need to have the vehicle VIN Inspection done by a DMV Inspector if the vehicle has not been title or registered in Nevada. (This step quick at the inspection site at the Nevada DMV locations).

Vehicles purchased from a Nevada Auto Dealer you will need the following:

  1. The Nevada Dealer must provide you with an Electronic Dealers Report of Sale (EDRS) form.

  2. Purchase Nevada Insurance for the vehicle in the name of the person who will register the vehicle.

  3. If your vehicle is 3 years or older you will also need a Nevada Smog Check.

  4. Most recent LES.

  5. Non-Resident, Active Duty Military Governmental Services Tax Exemption Affidavit VP203. Which need to be sign by Company Commander or Authorized Officer. (Please make sure to write the state abbreviation for your income tax listed on the LES).

  1. Current Nevada Registration.

  2. Nevada Insurance in the name of the registered owner.

  3. If your vehicle is 3 years or older you will also need a Nevada Smog Check.

  4. Most recent LES.

  5. Non-Resident, Active Duty Military Governmental Services Tax Exemption Affidavit VP203. Which need to be sign by Company Commander or Authorized Officer. (Please make sure to write the state abbreviation for your income tax listed on the LES).

  6. If the vehicle owner is unable to come to the office, the Application for Vehicle Registration VP222 form will need to be signed.
